Corporate Social Responsibility

Introduction

We believe that a commitment to the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) not only makes good business sense but also complements our business strategy and corporate values. Our approach is based on the following principles:

  • We are committed to making sure that we are as environmentally friendly and kind to the earth as we can be
  • Integrating our CSR considerations into all our business decisions; in particular building and maintaining our reputation for integrity
  • Complying with, and exceeding, where practicable, all applicable legislation, regulations, and codes of practice
  • Reviewing our CSR annually and continually striving to improve our CSR performance

ICT Revolutions are committed to ensuring that any business undertakings are conducted as ethically as possible by following the below policy.

Who are we, and what do we do?

ICT Revolutions Ltd was established in 2013, and are the leading provider of support, expertise, and skills to enable the effective, safe, and timely delivery of Social Care, Finance and Education system implementations. We have experience of working with over 25 local authorities providing pre-procurement discovery and full implementations of OLM Eclipse, Access (was Servelec) Mosaic, CACI Impulse, Liquidlogic EYES, LCS, LAS, EHM and both Adults & Children’s ContrOCC / LIFT Finance Systems across the country.

We are experts at working in true partnership with customers and external agencies to enable them to innovate and exploit the functionality, capabilities, and transformative potential of their systems.  This includes data modelling and performance (reporting) strategies, complimentary products of our own design and build, as well a knowledge transfer, training approach which includes E-Learning.

Our implementation and data migration programmes are delivered within a proven and fully documented accredited methodology that guarantees results.  We remove or radically reduce the inherent risks associated with social care and finance systems replacement and upgrades.  At the same time, on a cost for cost comparison of a Council recruiting specialist consultants via agencies or directly, we are confident that we demonstrate value for money.  We are driven by quality, rather than profit.

The ICT Revolutions core team has worked together for 10 years, we are all ex local government officers, and the company is led by a Registered Social Worker, Jon Goldie, who has retained 100% ownership of the company.

We are the UK leading experts in this arena, with individual specialist disciplines covering:

  • Project/Programme Management
  • Change management
  • Business process re-engineering
  • Agile and mobile working
  • Staff engagement and training
  • Technical deployment
  • Data cleansing, ETL Migration and Data Quality Board
  • Integration with existing systems
  • Performance and Intelligence reporting
  • End to end testing

Looking after Employees

Equality

ICT Revolutions is an equal opportunities employer and actively supports human rights, diversity and inclusion as well all equality legislation. Our ethos is to respect and value people’s differences and to help everyone achieve more at work, as well as in their personal lives, so that they feel proud of the part they play in our success.

We believe that all decisions about people at work should be based on the individual’s abilities, skills, performance and behaviour and our business requirements. Our policy must be strictly adhered to by all our team. Discrimination, abuse, or harassment will result in disciplinary action being taken, including dismissal for serious cases. The Company actively encourages an environment in which everyone is entitled to work without harassment, victimisation and bullying.

Wellbeing

We have a duty of care to look after your health, safety, and wellbeing and believe that protecting this is of the utmost importance. We aim, so far as is reasonably practicable, to create a supportive workplace culture, which reduces negative impacts on wellbeing and ensures managers have the right skills to support staff. In addition to reducing safety risks, this means operating the business in a way that minimises harm to employees' mental health.

We believe that by addressing mental health issues we can improve employee’s general wellbeing as well as reducing absenteeism, presenteeism and staff turnover and thus increase productivity. We aim to support and develop a positive mental health workplace by assisting those with mental ill-health and raising awareness of mental and physical wellbeing across the business.

Promoting physical activity and encouraging healthy eating can contribute to positive mental health and help employees manage stress and physical health whilst also improving alertness and concentration.

We are a family friendly company and offer generous leave for maternity, paternity, surrogacy and adoption

ICT Revolutions also have a Domestic Abuse Policy, Menopause Policy, Modern Slavery and Equality Policy, Disciplinary and Grievance Policy, Bullying and Harassment Policy, Bribery Policy, Social Value Policy, Whistleblowing Policy, Environmental Policy and a Staff Handbook, all of which are available to employees and contractors on request.

Communications

ICT Revolutions is committed to developing effective communications throughout the business. Obtaining everyone’s views and feedback is central to our communication strategy, and we welcome constructive ideas and suggestions from all our team as to how we can improve the Company and make this a better place to work.

Pay

When we create new roles and carry out salary reviews, we aim for levels which:

  • Enable us to recruit and retain quality employees who will perform their roles effectively
  • Motivate employees to achieve the objectives set by their managers so that the goals are met
  • Provide progression for employees assuming greater responsibility and duties that are more demanding
  • Are non-discriminatory
  • Are well within the living wage

If eligible, employees are automatically enrolled into the workplace pension scheme

Environment

ICT Revolutions are committed to:

  • Using resources efficiently to reduce waste and maximise value
  • Playing our part to reduce air pollution, noise, vibration and nuisance within local communities to improve health
  • Promoting sustainable and ethical procurement

Workforce Care

We have weekly team meetings where we encourage employees and sub-contractors to share any challenges they may be facing, discuss ongoing jobs and an open forum for opportunities, ideas and decisions. We also have monthly dinners for the core team, and an annual Christmas party. Recently we implemented annual conferences towards the end of the financial year where we can collectively debate the future of ICT Revolutions and our part in it.

Fair Work First

ICT Revolutions is committed to meeting and exceeding the Scottish Government's Fair Work First requirements for employers.

Looking after Customers

As a specialist consultancy, not a recruitment agency, ICT Revolutions value our commitment to the development of our staff, and to their ongoing learning and development. This ethos is extended to our work with customers, where we strive to ensure that we always deliver a project leaving the customers’ own staff suitably trained and experienced in the use of their new systems, and in a position to successfully manage them without any further external input.

This process naturally engages with the customers’ staff, discovers and fosters the skills of talented and keen individuals, and leaves the customer with a home-grown talent pool of capable system users, and a feeling of ownership of their products.

ICT Revolutions develop a training package to embed the key skills required to use the systems with the customer’s workforce, and also to support best practice, local policy and smarter working. All training to end users will empower them to be confident system users, to use the tools available to produce high-quality assessments, plans and other documents, to access relevant information quickly and efficiently, and to be able to use the systems in a manner which minimises their time spent on data entry.

ICT Revolutions identify ‘champions’ from within the Social Care and Education business, as part of the implementation process. These individuals will have an opportunity to shape the systems on behalf of their service and give a voice to all front-line system users. At the same time, this process naturally identifies people with the right skills, ideas and ambition to provide input to the project, from a variety of business areas and roles – people who may not be included in traditional implementation projects and decision-making. In turn, this broadens the skills base of the workforce, while encouraging the service to take ownership of the development and direction of their systems.

ICT Revolutions deliver a dynamic, intuitive system with high-quality data and practitioner content. Through our training sessions, we embed the skills within front-line workers to use these tools effectively to manage their caseloads and interactions with customers and members of the public.

We have documented quality standards for levels of service given to customers. We monitor these standards and always seek to improve. Similarly, we have high expectations of all our managers and employees about the way in which they conduct their business transactions.
