Fife Council recently upgraded their social care system from OLM Swift. As with all data migrations, the Council needed to make decisions regarding which data to migrate to the new system. This is a conundrum which every council faces: modern systems are strongly validated, which means that poor quality data which would have been tolerated in the legacy system – such as overlapping referrals, missing dates, referrals with no assessment, etc – needs to be tidied up before being migrated to the new system. In October 2021, Sheffield City Council found that the demand for application training had been increasing dramatically over the previous 18 months. A remote workforce meant that the knowledge of colleagues was no longer accessible which, when combined with an increase in recruitment, meant they had to search for a flexible training option. When ICT Revolutions first approached Sheffield, we offered a free demo to the training team. Rotherham Borough Council made a significant capital investment in the replacement of its core IT business systems for the Directorate of Adults Social Services (DASS) and the Children and Young Peoples Department (CYPD) as part of its response to the Baroness Jay Report into child sexual exploitation in the region. ICT Revolutions was appointed to lead the entire implementation from end to end in partnership with Council officers and to manage the data migration from the legacy systems. Children's Social Care Reinvigorated
In 2019, Salford City Council began the process of replacing their legacy Adults' and Children's social care case management systems. Five Go-Live
ICT Revolutions were selected to lead the implementation of replacement Children’s Social Care case management and finance systems for Liverpool City Council, on the basis that they are Social Work IT System and practitioner specialists. A secondary part of the contract was to introduce a performance framework, and to assist the council to develop intelligence reports that could be used to inform social work practice as well as the political and senior leadership of the Council.
