Our Children’s & Adults Social Care, and Finance reporting dashboards, REVIEW, provide a comprehensive suite of reports, performance indicators and visualisations in an easy-to-use package enabling managers and case workers to access key information about all aspects of their services.
REVIEW provides performance indicators and visualisations, and allows users to drill through to relevant datasets for all business areas, and can accommodate local business processes and system configuration via an easy-to-use configuration app.
The reports integrate with local reporting solutions. Data from the Dashboards can be exported in multiple formats, such as Excel, for integration or analysis externally.

ICT Revolutions has provided business intelligence and reporting solutions since the company was founded; and has developed several different methodologies and approaches to this work over the last 10 years. Fundamentally, like our implementation work, we believe any solutions ICT Revolutions deliver should be sustainable and resilient in the long term, without a reliance on continuing external supplier support in BAU operations.
We have developed an ethical and sustainable approach following our experience working with a number of Councils across the country who have found that employing specialist contractors to produce BOU/SQL reports at a particular time in their systems' evolution, did the job at the time but rapidly become obsolete and outdated... and often unusable shortly after the contractor left. Without the in-house skills to update the reports always being readily available, and the code written, poorly documented, and bespoke to that contractor's skills set, this left the organisation with a set of reports that it could not use.

Person Summary
We have created tables on top of the existing data warehouse to simplify the creation of reports. These provide key information such as:
- Flags for current cases/referrals, assessments & plans
- Flags to indicate other activity such as custom workflows or case statuses
- Other indicators such as: duration of time on a plan, count of previous plans etc.
Many of these are customisable, and are used in other reports – so changing a value here will update all other reports that cover this area

Local Customisation
Once installed, many elements can be configured locally to reflect business practices and local processes. In addition to this, because the dashboards are delivered via Power BI, you have full control over visualisations and can add, remove or rename any elements as required. We’ll provide full training for your performance team, to enable them to understand and build on the supplied reports.
Frequently asked questions
Apart from the initial technical setup, your performance team will be the most involved as they’ll need to complete testing and validate data, as well as manage queries and requests from the business. You may want to use your training resources to support the rollout to end users.
Support and Maintenance is available with our REVIEW dashboards, this includes:
- Updates to REVIEW Data Mart to include new functionality & data warehouse changes
- Updates to documentation
- Release of new modules and Dashboards as they are developed
Once installed, REVIEW belongs to the customer so you can update, add or remove elements as you see fit, or alter the branding to match your own. Over time, we’d expect your dashboards to look completely different to how they started – and if we like what you’ve done, we may even ask to take it to share with other customers!
Installing, configuring and testing REVIEW is a quick process, once commissioned we can have the Dashboards working almost immediately. Once this is completed, we’ll work with your performance team to ensure that all the dashboards work as they should.
Next, most customers will want to complete user acceptance testing, and validate all of the data, before releasing it to the wider user base. ICT Revolutions will provide support for this. Some local configuration / customisation can be done easily during the UAT phase or pre-live phase
Once released to end users, customers may want to provide training to those new to Power BI, and again we can support this with guidance and eLearning if required.
- REVIEW is based upon Microsoft Power BI, so a Pro license is required for each user that will access the dashboards.
- In addition, customers must be using the relevant LCS or LAS Data Warehouses
- Power BI Gateway is required to automate data refreshes
- Sufficient space is required on the local Data Warehouse instance to store the additional REVIEW tables
